After graduating from the University of Arts (LCF) Cindy's career has spanned over two decades working within the Luxury Fashion Industry.
Beginning her career with a position at Marks and Spencer HQ as Trends Assistant, under the tutelage of Yasmin Yusuf; Cindy went on to work at Matches Fashion within their renowned buying office, assisting within the International Buying department, in addition to overseeing production of the in-house label ‘Freda’.
Cindy’s then secured a role at the distinguished Burberry HQ under the guidance of Michele Smith - Senior Vice President of Womenswear. Cindy spent five memorable years during the brand’s digital redevelopment.
Cindy has always had a keen eye for Fashion and is dedicated to supporting black women in business, but also strengthening the black pound and its life cycle to promote black owned brands, specifically within the Fashion Industry.
Terunesh Tafari
Social Media, Communications and Customer Support
Terry Tafari is an avid traveller and has lived in the Carribbean, New York City, and Europe. After gaining a Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Terry decided to pursue her creative passions; film, fashion and photography.
Her keen eye has enabled her to work for Lacoste and as a Manager at American Apparel for several years. Terry is committed to connecting the African diaspora and is excited to help Nyuzi bring black designers to the forefront of the fashion industry.


Fatuma Salimah
Buying, Merchandising and Customer Support
Fatuma is originally from Uganda but now lives in London. She has worked in the luxury fashion industry for over six years, and has experience in management, merchandising, sales, and styling.
Prior to working at Nyuzi Brands, Fatuma worked as a Sales Associate and Assistant Visual Merchandiser at Longchamp - the Parisian luxury bags and accessories brand. Fatuma has a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and a Diploma in Business.
Outside of the office, she enjoys yoga, undertaking small DIY projects and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to assisting Nyuzi customers with their fashion choices.
Jonathan Treacher
Corporate Finance
Jonathan is a lawyer and investment banker with over 20 years’ experience in finance and assisting growth companies to reach their potential.
He lives part of the year in East Africa where he has various business interests and devotes time to mentoring your African professionals.
